Slutty pirate hooker

I had to put this photo up cos it is sooo funny

this was an attempt by me and Matilda to look scraggy but as you can see we don't!!
I think Matilda describes it the best as she think i look like a slutty pirate hooker!

Dogs are smart

This is my Gracie
I really believe that dogs have a sixth sense for picking up on their owners emotions. I was feeling pretty low today and i sat down next to my Gracie (border collie cross beagle) and she just lay down against me and put her head on my leg. Now this may seem like normal dog behavior but not for Gracie, she is usually really hyper and will get distracted by anything and just tries to lick your hands as you pat her. However she was quite happy to close her eyes and just sit with me.
It is not the first time that she has done this, i used to sit with her all the time when i had first moved to Adelaide and she would sit quietly and comfort me.
I also know of a 21yr old girl, Hannah who has multiply disabilities and spends her life in a wheelchair, she can't speak or do anything for herself. For her birthday she was given a puppy. The dog, Tess, runs around all hyperactive unless she is with Hannah in which case she snuggles up and sleeps in her arms.
I know that we humans consider ourselves smarter than dogs but i think they are a lot smarter than we give them credit for.

Things I have learned at work

1-Don't spray bees or wasps with a high pressure hose, they get angry
2-Always make sure the windows on a car are wound up before you spray them with a high pressure hose, you can figure out why
3-Don't walk through a panel beater workshop in bare feet! I didn't hurt myself but my boss told me off :-(
4-Don't knock open cans of coke off of high shelves. The spillage goes everywhere
5-Don't reverse a 4WD into a corvette!!!
6-Don't spray elderly customers for fun!
7-Don't tell the workshop manager that he looks like an elf, even if he does.

Ok I will be honest I made the last three up but my manager does look quite elfish.




This is me at work but imagine me holding a sponge or chamois or bottle of polish not a spanner. Cos I'm still detailing cars not fixing them, but that should change in the next week or two!!!
