BLOOD!!!

I was visiting Chris the other day and as I sat with him (he was asleep by this stage) I was looking at all of his IV tubes and the platelet transfusion that he was recieving and it occured to me that if chris and I had the same blood type that the platelets could have been mine! and then i thought that out there some where is someone just like chris who is recieving my blood and that could be saving their life! Then I started thinking about what it takes to donate blood, it only takes about 1/2 hr and hurts for a couple of seconds and that could save someones life. I would like to urge all of you who don't donate blood to seriously consider it and all of you who do donate blood to keep it up!!!

I know that due to medical reasons not everyone can donate blood and i am not having a go at those who can't.

Also if I can do it (me who feels sick at the sight of needles and starts shacking everytime i have to get an injection) then I'm sure you can!
